If you already have a bachelor’s degree in another field, a traditional MSW may be the cleanest next step. You won’t need to go back and earn a second bachelor’s just to qualify in most cases. That saves years and keeps your momentum intact.

What matters most is alignment. Match your education path with your budget, timeline, and career target. Social work is a field with real stakes, real burnout risks, and real impact. Picking the right degree route won’t solve everything, but it can make the climb far more manageable.
