For 12 long years Roots &Wings has been serving the community in Europe, with free online magazine of world class standard. This has been made possible with the enormous effort, contributions and labor of love of the dedicated RAW editors and staff, all for the love of the Philippines, and the Filipinos living in Europe.


This time RAW has the golden opportunity to partner with multi-awarded Hollywood director and filmmaker, JHETT DIZON TOLENTINO, to present his documentary autobiographical film.


JHETT hails from Iloilo City in the Philippines and this film documents his journey from his hometown to tinsel town New York. JHETT has won the Tony for Best Play (Vanya and Sonia and Marsha and Spike with Sigourney Weaver); in 2014 he won the Best Musical with “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” and the Best Play Revival of “A Raisin in The Sun” with Denzel Washington. He produced the cast album of The Colour Purple which won the 59th Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. Jhett has produced Isabel Sandoval’s feature film Lingua Franca, which premiered at the 76th Venice Film Festival and was nominated for the John Casavetes Independent Spirit Award. Jhett is making his directorial debut in the upcoming rom-com ASIAN PERSUASION, starring Dante Basco and Toni Gonzaga.
