Joselito “Jojo” Tolentino Jimenez is an artist born in Obando Bulacan, Philippines. His artworks and masterpieces are known to depict the realistic nature of his people and surroundings. Growing up, he was always interested in painting and eventually took up Fine Arts in the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. Since then, he has pursued his art for a career and joined various Art groups, exhibits and expositions. He became involved in different Art communities that teach young artists to pursue their dreams.
While Jojo's family resides in Panabo City, Davao Del Norte, he continues to engage with his artist colleagues. He participates in different Art causes and online exhibits, in and out of the country. Being in the south, his fondness for painting Mindanao’s tribes has opened his eyes to the various cultural traditions preserved until now. His works mainly consist of indigenous people, their colorful and unique traditions, the roots of one’s existence and love for nature.
